Holistic Living: Family & Finance Coaching and Quality LifestyleWhy Focus on Marriage?
Let’s look at the numbers:
For every two marriages, there’s one divorce. Non-married partnerships have an even higher failure rate. Read our list of 98 reasons why marriages fail.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, through December, 2009, as quoted by Bible News:
- The ratio of new marriages to divorces is 2 to 1
- Total Marriages showed a sharp drop in 1998 and…continues to trend down.
- The marital status for females 15 and over from 1950 – 2009 shows that the population of unmarried women will soon surpass the number of married women.
- The number of unmarried couple households is increasing steadily.
According to Divorce Magazine:
- In 2005 the divorce rate was .36% of the population and the marriage rate was .75%; about 2 divorces for every marriage.
- Both divorces and marriages have been declining since 1981as a greater number of people opt for live-in situations.
- Only 63% of American children grow up with both biological parents — the lowest figure in the Western world

It’s our belief that the decline and failure of so many marriages is unnecessary. In this society, we are careful to train our children how to prevent pregnancy, to drive cars, and to lock doors, but we don’t train them on the two most important life experiences: marriage and parenthood.
Most of these failures are due to the lack of training in expectations, basic communication, respect, and teamwork. Yet, it only takes a few months to learn what is needed to have a wonderful and blessed marriage! That’s why we began our 98 Day Family Builder Programs!
98 Days is all it takes to…
…Start a great Marriage
…Rebuild a struggling Marriage
…Revitalize a stale Marriage
…Create a Masterful Parenting Plan
About half of the people we’ve worked with who were going through divorce didn’t even know their marriage was in trouble. Can you afford to make this mistake? Can you afford not to have an excellent marriage?
