Holistic Living: Family & Finance Coaching and Quality LifestyleParenting Plan
Parenting…an arduous task and yet the greatest blessing any person can experience! Like marriage, this is one of the greatest commitments we make in our lives, and one of the experiences we are least prepared for. Most people enter parenthood with unrealistic ideas that their child will always love them unconditionally. Often children are born to fulfill an emotional need of a parent.
The fact is, each child is a unique and amazing creature. Every child has a mind of his/her own, and a concern for self. Every child will try his/her parent to an extreme; some more often than others.
We need to remember these things:
- Happiness is a chosen emotion, it’s not found in the fulfillment of wants
- Self confidence is found in success, which can only be achieved after a series of failures
- “No” is not a bad word
- A healthy well-being is not related to money
- A child’s behavior is nearly always related to the parenting they receive

Traditionally most cultures have given authority to the elders, who through experience and education have become wiser people and more discerning when making decisions. However, our western society has become both “pediarchal” and hedonistic. We’ve given family authority over the the children, and our desires are for their “happiness” at all cost.
The flaw in this is that our parents have become fearful of a child’s sorrow. Children are permitted to make decisions that counter the parent’s wisdom because it may infringe on the child’s happiness. This creates conflict and struggle; a home of tension and frustration. What we want is a peaceful home that is love-filled. A safe home is a home that is open to the great joys and love that come through parenting!
Are you struggling with continual control issues? Are you, as parents, in disagreement on what is best for your child? Are you faced with repeated destructive behaviors? Do you want to know how to overcome the challenges faced in parenting, but are unsure of how to go about it? Our Parenting Plan will get you and your spouse on the same track; reign in the disorder and chaos; bring step relations together; create a peaceful and united home.
