Tam,
Thanks for trying out the assessments!
I think each assessment fits differently based on our situation, so it's not surprising one of them gave you better information than the others. I'm glad the Keirsey hit home well for you. It's more of a real "personality" assessment than the DISC. The DISC tends to reflect a person's strengths in a work/team setting. This DISC assessment, of course, is a simple one. The real DISC is more in-depth and as such, more valuable.
You can probably take your Keirsey results and recognize your spiritual gifts through them. God placed great, and unique, things in each of us and it's embedded in our personality. :)

Yes, it is a transition! We've been told since the 1970's that debt is a positive thing. We have to change our minds about things, all the while fighting conventional wisdom.

I'm saddened that people who defend such inside-the-box thinking can be considered financial "leaders." We need to lead people away from behaviors that feed the banking industry on the backs of our wallets.

Well said, Sheri. It is hard to learn to live without credit cards, but once you make up your mind to do so, you actually have MORE money available to live on.

You're so right, Janie! In most cases, the last thing an entrepreneur needs to spend time on in the first few years is red tape, and hiring employees requires a lot of red tape. Employees are necessary in some situations, but if you can contract out the work, you reduce your risk and increase flexibility in who, how, and when you use the labor.

I remember when I started my first business many years ago - the only advice I remember was from the owner of MicroAge - a computer company I did business with. He said, "Never, never, never HIRE anybody!" LOL! But, he had a point. Hiring someone causes lots of new headaches for an entrepreneur!
